Mr. Plant is a vital member of the Canadian Industrial team working out of JLLs Mississauga office. As Senior Vice President, Mr. Plant leads the Toronto Industrial Group with his collaborative management style and level of integrity, which is well acknowledged throughout the industry.
Mr. Plant has been working in the real estate industry, focusing on the industrial sector for the past twelve years. During this time, he has played an integral role in land assemblies and sales, redevelopment opportunities, industrial leasing, lease audits and renewals, buyouts, asset dispositions, sale leasebacks, tenant representations, and design build projects.
He has been responsible for either selling or leasing over 10 million square feet of industrial space. Since joining JLL, he was instrumental in helping land the national business of Siemens, Henkel, Xerox and Iron Mountain. He is also the Canadian representative of the JLL Supply Chain and Logistics Solution Team.
Prior to joining JLL, Mr. Plant worked with Cushman & Wakefield LePage, where his early success earned him the industrial Rookie of the Year award in 1998. This was followed by myriad annual recognitions for excellence on a national scale. His industrial team was considered one of the top agency leasing teams in the Greater Toronto Market and one of Cushmans top teams nationally. The team was also recognized with a national NAIOP award for industrial deal of the year.
After graduating from Montreals Concordia University with a Bachelors of Business Administration (B.B.A.), Mr. Plant successfully completed the Canadian Securities Course (C.S.C.) with honors.
Mr. Plant was a top ten national producer for JLL in 2010 and was also recognized as the top revenue generating industrial specialist in the country. He is one of three finalists for NAIOPs prestigious Industrial Lease of the Year award for 2010.
